From the Principal:
What an awesome and busy week it has been! Congratulations and well done to our drama students who put on two amazing performances of “And Came the Spring” to sold-out audiences over the weekend! I am always inspired by the skills, talents, and commitment of our student thespians! A special thank you as well to Mrs. Robertson (a.k.a. Mrs. Fields) for all her hard work and dedication in pulling it all together.
We had close to 20 of our students go to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School on Tuesday for our annual Science Day. Our student scientists hosted the elementary kids at various demonstration stations, including frog/squid dissection, air pressure, catapults, oobleck, and explosive gases. A great time was had by all and our students represented our school very well.
Our first iteration of our traveling “road show” for weekly Mass was a smashing success, with 6 of our students (one from each grade) attending Thursday 9am Mass at St.Elizabeth Ann Seton. Curious parishioners were happy to see our students sharing in communion with them. Next week, our plan is to attend Holy Cross Parish on Lake Otis, so we will once again be looking for volunteers.
Finally, last night, our boys and girls basketball teams had their awards banquet. Senior Maeve Bakic was recognized as the girls recipient of the “Lumen Award” given to the player who best represents the values of our school. Andrew Howard was the boys recipient of the award, reflecting the huge impact he had on our program as a homeschool student playing basketball at Lumen. Congratulations to Maeve and Andrew as well as all the other student athletes for their accomplishments both on and off the court.
This weekend, we look forward to the “Mystic Galaxy” Prom! Thanks to Mrs. Goodwin and Mrs. Methonen for helping our student government organize and plan what is sure to be a special night. Have fun and be safe!

New Uniform Company-Tommy Hilfiger: As mentioned at our State of the School Address, we have been working with Tommy Hilfiger as another school uniform option for our Lumen families. Tommy Hilfiger is offering daily school uniforms, PE uniforms, staffwear, and some Lumen Wear. You can access the site by clicking on the following link and searching for Lumen Christi https://www.globalschoolwear.com There are a couple changes on the site that are being ironed out and are highlighted below but the site as a whole is ready to go and you may order at anytime.
Under the “Spiritwear” section, the embroidered logo option, “Staff” will be removed and only available under “Staffwear”.
Under the “Spiritwear” section, there will be an embroidered option “Lu-Mom” added soon so stay tuned.
Under the 12th grade daily uniform section, the burgundy color sweaters are currently not available but will be soon. It is a new color for the sweaters and will be added to the inventory for the coming school year. I will keep you posted on this once they are available.
Please let Mrs. Estes know if you have any questions while using this site. We will no longer be using Parker Uniforms as a uniform source but we are still using Lands End.
