Michael Bauzon

Dean of Student Affairs00000005

Classes: Algebra I & II, Physics, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus, Junior High Physical Science

I was born and raised in California and in 2005 moved to Alaska. While teaching part-time for Lumen Christi, I studied Mathematics and received a B.S. from UAA in 2007. A short time later, I decided to pursue graduate studies and I earned my M.A. in teaching secondary mathematics from the University Alaska Southeast and also started as a full-time teacher at Lumen teaching Algebra, Chemistry, Trigonometry, and Precalculus.

This year I am teaching Algebra, Geometry, 8th Grade Science, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. I enjoy Lumen Christi because of the small class sizes, curriculum, and support from fellow staff members.

My classroom goal is to prepare students for a lifetime of learning in both higher education and the workplace. Working hard, setting high standards, and having a positive, learning attitude are standards I would like my students to have in and out of the classroom.
